Introduction - Born in the USA

The 1976 Maine police DUI records reveal the arrest of two-times U.S. President George W. Bush, for driving under the influence of alcohol. The leader of the “free world” aged 30 at that time, pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor or first-time drunk driving charge, paid a modest $150 fine, and had his driving privileges briefly suspended.

Not to be outdone, Vice-President Dick Cheney has two DUI records to his credit. Republicans have time and again attempted to dismiss these records as ‘youthful recklessness’.

Not everyone’s Dad is the President

While Junior Bush had Senior Bush to sort out a few things like DUI records, you may not be so privileged. Driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs can have serious legal and lethal implications. If you are convicted of a DUI / DWI, you will almost certainly find your name listed in the local and state DUI records. Not only is this extremely distressing, but finding your name in the DUI records permanently tarnishes your image and may haunt you, forever.

These days in some states, DUI records can also be acquired via the Internet. Following the acquisition and download of these DUI records, any person can search for all DUI convictions in a specific region. The effortlessness and the availability of these records can seriously hinder your work prospects and social status.

Regrettably that’s not it. There is still something far worse than merely having your name listed in DUI records and that is for your name to be listed in the daily obituaries.

Speed thrills, but kills. Driving under the influence and thus betting with your life to have that transitory sensation of exhilaration, is certainly not worth the eternal consequences you might have to face. Cutting yours or someone else’s life short for that split second, will end up being your legacy, for as long as you live or are remembered.

Conclusion

As responsible citizens and good Samaritans, we must make sure that the soaring numbers of casualties printed within the pages of DUI records lessens in the near future. Many promising persons keep committing these deadly blunders and deprive the world of its greatness.

It simply boils down to handing the keys to someone who is sober or not intoxicated and through that a life is saved. Else you may wind up being another casualty statistic in the DUI records.
